Baritone Fred Craven began singing with the Dallas Opera Chorus in the 1990 production of Prince Igor. Since then he has appeared in many pruductions including; Jenufa, The Flying Dutchman, Aïda, Billy Budd, and Faust. Mr. Craven made his Dallas Opera solo as Beniot in the 1999 School production of La Bohème.
Mr. Craven began singing opera with Oprea San Jose, in productions including The Elixer of Love, Tosca, and Amahl and the Night Visitors.
Mr. Craven studied voice with the late Thomas Hayward at Southern Methodist University, and earned a Bachelor of Music Degree from Dallas Baptist University where he appeared in the title Role of Gianni Schicchi.
Mr. Craven makes his home in Duncanville where he is the proud father of eight, yes eight, children, who keep him quite busy when he isn't singing.
